The protocol for HBOT is 40 treatments 5-7 days per week at 1.5 ATA with 100% oxygen. 3 month break and booster 20-40 tx depends on the patient if needed. After, recovery will reach the platou and will be the same with or without HBOT.

Out of many neurological conditions the one that responds the best is patients with autism. For some of our patients it was the best thing they ever did for their kids.

I run hyperbaric clinic in Detroit, MI. We've been treating patients with neurological disorders such as stroke, cerebral palsy and patients who had a reaction to vaccine for the past 11 years. Many of them had amazing results. The idea is that when injury happens, certain part of your brain dies. Unfortunatelly, there is no way to restore dead brain cells. The good news is that dead brain cells are surrounded by the area called brain penumbra. It is the area of the brain where cells are damaged, but not yet dead. Sometimes this area is up to 80 % of total injured area of the brain. Imagine to be able to restore the function of these cells how much can you gain back. Thats what Hyperbaric Therapy does. Especially in combination with PT, OT, and Speach therapy, depends on whats needed for a patient, Hyperbaric restore the functionality and PT, OT and Speach teach the brain again to use newly restored cells.
As far as soft chambers oppese to Hard:
Effectiveness of Hard chambers is 10 - 15 times more then soft chambers. How Hyperbaric works is by utilizing Henry's law: amount of oxygen dissolved in the solution (plasma and cerbral fluid) is directly proportional to the pressure asserted on the solution (pressure in the chamber asserted on your body). The higher the pressure more oxygen gets into your brain improving hypoperfusion (oxygenation and circulation of the brain). Soft chambers only go to 1.3 ATA while the worldwide accepted theraputic pressure is 1.5 ATA. Soft chambers should be used if hard chambers are not available and only in a clinic settings by medical personel. Otherwise, in a home settings it is just dangerous.
If you have more questions please call me at 586-779-6830 Mon-Fri and I'd be more then happy to answer any questions you may have.

My close friend S. is suffering from early dementia and memory loss. Are there studies
which will show the use of hyperbaric chambers to stop the decline of her mental prowess?
She lives in Irvine, CA. PLEASE contact me if you know of any hopsitals or clinics in
Orange County which have a hyperbaric chamber, as she is suffering greatly. Thank you!
